WORKPLACE RELATIONS ACT 1996 - SECT 829
Jurisdiction of courts limited as to area(1) For the purposes of this Act, a court of a State or Territory whose jurisdiction is limited, as to subject matter or parties, to any part of a State or Territory shall be taken to have jurisdiction throughout the State or Territory.
(2) On the hearing of a proceeding in a court for the recovery of a penalty, fine, fee, levy or due, the court may, if in the interests of justice it considers appropriate, adjourn the hearing to a court of competent jurisdiction to be held at some other place in the same State or Territory.
