WORKPLACE RELATIONS ACT 1996 - SECT 819
Non-compliance with requirement made by an inspector(1) A person is guilty of an offence if the person contravenes a requirement made by an inspector under subparagraph 169(2)(b)(iv), paragraph 169(2)(c) or subsection 169(4).
Penalty: Imprisonment for 6 months.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply if the person has a reasonable excuse.
Note: A defendant bears an evidential burden in relation to the matter in subsection (2) (see subsection 13.3(3) of the Criminal Code ).
