1. Commencement


  1.1 Part 3 is taken to have commenced on 5 March 1997.

Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2. Amendment


  2.1 The Workplace Relations Regulations are amended as set out in 
this Part.

3. Regulation 5 (Prescribed State industrial authorities - section 13 
and subsections 16 (2) and 175 (1), (2) and (5) of the Act)


  3.1 Omit the regulation, substitute:
Prescribed State industrial authorities - section 13 and subsections 
16 (2) and 175 (1), (2) and (5) of the Act
  "5. For the purposes of section 13 and subsections 16 (2) and 175 
(1), (2) and (5) of the Act, each of the following State industrial 
authorities is prescribed:
  "(a) the Industrial Relations Commission of New South Wales;
  (b) the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission;
  (c) the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission;
  (d) the Industrial Relations Commission of South Australia;
  (e) the Tasmanian Industrial Commission.".

4. Schedule 6 (Modifications of Part VIB, and other provisions, of the 
Act as applied as a law of a State)


  4.1 Part 1:
Omit the Part, substitute:
                   "Part 1                Subregulation 30ZF (1)
MANDATORY MODIFICATIONS
601. Section 170LH (What this Division covers)
601.1 Omit 'who are constitutional corporations or the Commonwealth', 
substitute 'other than constitutional corporations or the 
Commonwealth'.
602. Section 170LI (Nature of agreement)
602.1 Paragraph 170LI (1) (a):
Omit the paragraph, substitute:
  '(a) an employer other than a constitutional corporation or the 
Commonwealth; and'.
603. Division 3 (Making agreements about industrial disputes and 
industrial situations)
603.1 Omit the Division.".
PART 3 - AMENDMENTS OF AMENDING REGULATIONS
5. Amendment
5.1 Statutory Rules 1997 No. 48 is amended as set out in this Part.
6. Regulation 1 (Commencement)
6.1 Subregulation 1.2:
Omit the subregulation, substitute:
"1.2 Regulation 9 (except in so far as it inserts new regulation 30ZN) 
and regulation 17 (except in so far as it inserts new Schedule 11) 
commence on the same day as Schedule 10 to the Workplace Relations and 
Other Legislation Amendment Act 1996.
"1.2A Regulation 9 (in so far as it inserts new regulation 30ZN) and 
regulation 17 (in so far as it inserts new Schedule 11) commence on 19 
March 1997.".
