| - Description: | Section 118NJ of the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986 (VEA) provides that regulations made under that Act may make provision for DFISA-like payments to persons who meet the criteria set out in that section. These Regulations provide that recipients of adjusted disability pension (defined in the regulations) and their partners who are qualified for income support payments that are made by the Commonwealth but not under the social security law are entitled to payments similar to the Defence Force Income Support Allowance (described in Part VIIAB of the VEA). The payments to which they will be entitled are called DFISA-like payments. |
