TORRES STRAIT REGIONAL AUTHORITY (ELECTION OF OFFICEHOLDERS) AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 2008 (NO. 1) (SLI NO 78 OF 2008)

- Description:These Regulations amend the Torres Strait Regional Authority (Election of Officeholders) Regulations (the Regulations) to include the year in the citation and to reflect changes to the legislative regime governing the membership of the Torres Strait Regional Authority. These Regulations also remove obsolete and inoperative provisions from the Regulations resulting from the repeal of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission Act 1989 and its replacement by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Act 2005.
