These Regulations may be cited as the Telecommunications (Standard Agreements) Regulations. [NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s 48.] TELECOMMUNICATIONS (STANDARD AGREEMENTS) REGULATIONS 1997 No. 349 - REG 2 Definitions 2. In these Regulations: "Act" means the Telecommunications Act 1997; "standard agreement" means a standard form of agreement formulated by a carriage service provider for section 479 of the Act. TELECOMMUNICATIONS (STANDARD AGREEMENTS) REGULATIONS 1997 No. 349 - REG 3 Carriage services 3. For paragraph 479 (1) (b) of the Act, the following kinds of carriage services are specified: (a) a carriage service for voice telephony; (b) a carriage service for data transmission; (c) a carriage service for tone signalling; (d) a carriage service for a live or recorded information service. For paragraph 479 (1) (c) of the Act, the following kinds of ancillary goods are specified: (a) goods for use in connection with a standard telephone service; (b) goods for use in connection with a carriage service specified in regulation 3.
