Principal Regulations

  1. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Sex
Discrimination (Operation of Legislation) (No. 2) Regulations.

Operation of paragraph 40(1)(a) of the Act

  2. Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended -
  (a) by omitting paragraphs (1)(a), (b), (c) and (d) and substituting the
following paragraphs:
    "(a) the Acts of the State of Victoria specified in Schedule 1,
being those Acts as in force at the commencement of the Act; and
    (b) all Acts of the State of Western Australia as in force at the
commencement of the Act,"; and
  (b) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) "January" and substituting "July".

Operation of paragraph 40(1)(b) of the Act

  3. Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended -
  (a) by omitting sub-regulation (1); and
  (b) by inserting before paragraph (a) in sub-regulation (2) the following
paragraph:
    "(aa) all regulations, rules, by-laws, determinations or directions
made under an Act of the State of Western Australia and as in force at the
commencement of the Act;".

Schedule 1

  4. Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is repealed and the Schedule set
out in the Schedule to these Regulations substituted.

Schedule 2

  5. Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from Part
II -
    "Western Australia
      Factories and Shops Act 1963".
