1985 No. 283 SEAMEN'S COMPENSATION REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 5

5. (1) An amendment of the Principal Regulations made by these Regulations,
being an amendment of an amount of weekly compensation payable under the
Seamen's Compensation Act 1911, applies in respect of any week commencing on
or after 1 November 1985.

(2) An amendment of the Principal Regulations made by these Regulations, being
an amendment (other than an amendment referred to in sub-regulation (1)) in
respect of an amount of compensation under the Seamen's Compensation Act 1911,
applies in respect of -

   (a)  an injury sustained or a disease suffered by a seaman on or after 1
        November 1985; or

   (b)  a loss or event that occurs on or after 1 November 1985 resulting from
        an injury sustained, or a disease suffered, by a seaman before that
        date.
