SPACE ACTIVITIES REGULATIONS 2001 2001 No. 186 - REG 3.09

Technology security plan for launches

(1) For this Part, a technology security plan:

(a)
must cover the arrangements and procedures to be followed by the holder or applicant for safeguarding the technology that is, or will be, used in conducting the launch or launches and any connected return (including the technology used for, or in connection with, integrating a payload with the launch vehicle that is to carry the payload and moving the resultant space object onto the launch pad for launching); and

(b)
if there is in force an agreement (however described) between Australia and another country or countries that provides for the safeguarding of all or part of that technology, must be appropriate to ensure that Australia gives effect to its obligations under that agreement.

(2)
The procedures referred to in paragraph (1) (a) must include the procedures to be followed by the holder or applicant for preventing unauthorised people from having access to the technology.
