(1) For subsection 91 (7) of the Act, a person who attends before an
Investigator, because of his or her professional, scientific or other special
skill or knowledge, must be paid the following amount of fees:
- (a)
- if the
person is remunerated in his or her occupation by wages, salary or
fees an amount equal to the amount of wages, salary or fees lost
because of his or her attendance;
- (b)
- in any other case an amount of not less than $95 or more than
$475, as the Investigator allows, for each day on which he or she attends.
(2) A person who attends before an Investigator, other than a person referred
to in subregulation (1), must be paid the following amount of fees:
- (a)
- if the person is remunerated in his or her occupation by wages, salary or
fees an amount equal to the amount of wages, salary or fees lost
because of his or her attendance;
- (b)
- in any other case an amount of not less than $54 or more than
$89, as the Investigator allows, for each day on which he or she attends.
(3) A person who attends before an Investigator must be paid a reasonable
amount, as the Investigator allows, for allowances for:
- (a)
- transport
between the person's usual place of residence and the place where he or she
attends before the Investigator; and
- (b)
- if the person is required to be absent overnight from his or her usual
place of residence meals and accommodation.
