1992 No. 389 RADIOCOMMUNICATIONS (TRANSMITTER LICENCE TAX) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2

2. Regulation 3A (Amount of tax on public mobile telecommunications service licence)
2.1 Paragraph 3A (2) (b): Omit the paragraph, substitute:

"(b) in respect of base stations licensed to operate as part of the service on
a frequency or frequencies in the range 880 MHz to 890 MHz- the amount set out
in subregulation (2a) for each region specified in that subregulation in which
one or more of the base stations are located.".
2.2 Subregulation (2A): Omit the subregulation, substitute:

"(2a) The amounts referred to in paragraph (2) (b) are as follows:

   (a)  for the Sydney region, being an area within a radius of 100 kilometres
        from the General Post Office, Sydney, in the State of New South
        Wales-$350,000 per MHz of spectrum on which the base stations are
        licensed to operate in the region;

   (b)  for the Melbourne region, being an area within a radius of 100
        kilometres from the General Post Office, Melbourne, in the State of
        Victoria-$350,000 per MHz of spectrum on which the base stations are
        licensed to operate in the region;

   (c)  for the Brisbane region, being an area within a radius of 100
        kilometres from the General Post Office, Brisbane, in the State of
        Queensland-$265,000 per MHz of spectrum on which the base stations are
        licensed to operate in the region;

   (d)  for the Adelaide region, being an area within a radius of 100
        kilometres from the General Post Office, Adelaide, in the State of
        South Australia-$265,000 per MHz of spectrum on which the base
        stations are licensed to operate in the region;

   (e)  for the Perth region, being an area within a radius of 100 kilometres
        from the General Post Office, Perth, in the State of Western
        Australia-$265,000 per MHz of spectrum on which the base stations are
        licensed to operate in the region.".
