These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 October 1983. 1983 No. 200 QUARANTINE (ANIMALS) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2 Examination of animals that are birds or mammals 2. Regulation 86D of the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations is amended- (a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) "Regulation" and substituting "regulation"; (b) by omitting from sub-regulation (10) "$3.75" and substituting "$4.20"; and (c) by omitting from sub-regulation (11) "$10" (wherever occurring) and substituting "$12". 1983 No. 200 QUARANTINE (ANIMALS) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 3 Examination of animals other than birds or mammals 3. Regulation 86E of the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations is amended- (a) by omitting from sub-regulation (5) "$3.75" and substituting "$4.20"; and (b) by omitting from sub-regulation (6) "$10" (wherever occurring) and substituting "$12". 1983 No. 200 QUARANTINE (ANIMALS) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 4 Delegation 4. (a) For so much of the consignment that does not exceed 10 animals, the rate is $9 for each animal. (b) For so much of the consignment (if any) that exceeds 10 animals, the rate is $3.60 for each animal. 90 12 Breeding horses to be exported to the U.S.A. other than Standard- breds to be exported to the U. S.A. (a) For so much of the consignment that does not exceed 5 animals, the rate is $90 for each animal. (b) For so much of the consignment (if any) that exceeds 5 animals, the rate is $36 for each animal. 180 13 Breeding Standardbreds to be exported to the U.S.A. (a) For so much of the consignment that does not exceed 5 animals, the rate is $36 for each animal. (b) For so much of the consignment (if any) that exceeds 5 animals, the rate is $18 for each animal. 72 14 Pigs (a) For so much of the consignment that does not exceed 50 animals, the rate is $3.60 for each animal. 45 (b) For so much of the consignment (if any) that exceeds 50 animals, the rate is 20 cents for each animal. 15 Rabbits (a) For so much of the consignment that does not exceed 20 animals, the rate is $1.80 for each animal. 36 (b) For so much of the consignment (if any) that exceeds 20 animals, the rate is 40 cents for each animal. 16 Poultry (a) For so much of the consignment that does not exceed 200 birds, the rate is 40 cents for each bird. 72 (b) For so much of the consignment (if any) that exceeds 200 birds, the rate is 20 cents for each bird. 17 Day-old-chicks (a) For so much of the consignment that does not exceed 1,000 birds, an amount of $45. (b) For so much of the consignment (if any) that exceeds 1,000 birds, an amount of $4 for each 1,000 birds, and for so much of the remainder of the consignment (if any) that is not divisible exactly by 1,000, an amount of $4 for that remainder. 18 Dogs, cats, birds the An amount of $18 subject of, ir included in, a declaration 19 Dogs other than dogs (a) Where the consignment comprises the subject of, or one or more animals, the rate included in, a is $18 for that animal or for the declaration first of those animals. (b) For so much of the consignment (if any) that exceeds one animal, the rate is $9 for each animal. 20 Cats other than cats (a) Where the consignment comprises -- the subject of, or one or more animals, the rate is included in, a $18 for that animal or for the declaration first of those animals. Schedule 4B to the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations is amended by omitting "15" (wherever occurring) and substituting "30". 1983 No. 200 QUARANTINE (ANIMALS) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 7 Transitional 7(1) In sub-regulation (2) the reference to a service relating to a consignment is- (a) a reference to a service within the meaning of regulation 86D of the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations relating to a consignment within the meaning of that regulation 86D; or (b) a reference to a service within the meaning of regulation 86E of the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations relating to a consignment within the meaning of that regulation 86E. (2) Notwithstanding the amendments effected by these Regulations, where a service relating to a consignment is provided before and partly after the commencement of these Regulations, the fee prescribed under the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations that would have been payable in respect of that service if these Regulations had not been made shall, for the purposes of Part VIIIA of those Regulations, be the fee payable in respect of that service. - NOTES 1983 No. 200*1* QUARANTINE (ANIMALS) REGULATIONS*2* (AMENDMENT) 1.
