  1. These Regulations may be cited as the Parliamentary Secretaries
Regulations.

Amount of allowance


  2. (1) For the purposes of sub-section 4 (3) of the Parliamentary
Secretaries Act 1980, the allowance in respect of expenses incurred by a
person is-
  (a)  in respect of a day on which expenses are incurred in respect of an
overnight stay otherwise than in Canberra or the home base of the person-$61;
and
  (b)  in respect of any other day-$56.

  (2) In sub-regulation (1), "home base" has the same meaning as in
determination number 7 of 1980 of the Remuneration Tribunal.
