1991 No. 71 PATENTS REGULATIONS - REG 22.1
Fees generally
22.1 (1) A fee must be paid at the Patent Office or a sub-office of the Patent
Office in such a manner as the Commissioner reasonably directs.
(2) If the Commissioner has directed that a complete application is to be
treated as a provisional application, the amount by which the fee payable on
the filing of a complete application exceeds the fee payable on the filing of
a provisional application must be credited towards the payment of the fee
payable on the next filing of a complete application associated with the
provisional application by the applicant concerned.
(3) For the purposes of subsection 227 (5) of the Act ("fees"), the
Commissioner must give notice of the failure to pay the fee to the person or
his or her patent attorney in writing within 7 days after the filing of the
document, or the doing of the act, for which the fee is payable.
