1. Amendment


  1.1 The Proceeds of Crime Regulations are amended as set out in these
Regulations.
(NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act
1901, s. 48.)

2. Regulation 16 (Law enforcement projects-prescribed law enforcement
agencies)


  2.1 Omit the regulation, substitute:
  "16. For the purposes of the definition of 'law enforcement project' in
subsection 34D (3) of the Act, each of the following law enforcement agencies
is prescribed:
  (a) the Attorney-General's Department;
  (b) AUSTRAC;
  (c) the Australian Customs Service;
  (d) the Australian Federal Police;
  (e) the Australian Institute of Criminology;
  (f) the Australian Securities Commission;
  (g) the Australian Taxation Office;
  (h) the Department of Immigration and Ethnic Affairs;
  (i) the National Crime Authority;
  (j) the Office of the DPP;
  (k) the Office of the Insurance and Superannuation Commissioner;
  (l) the Trade Practices Commission.".
