Amendment 1.1 The Political Broadcasts (New South Wales) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations. (NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.) 1992 No. 6 POLITICAL BROADCASTS (NEW SOUTH WALES) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2 2. Regulation 2 (Interpretation) 2.1 Omit the definition of "campaign period", substitute: "'campaign period', in relation to an election, means the period: (a) beginning: (i) at the beginning of the day after the day on which nominations for the election close; or (ii) at the beginning of the third last Saturday before the election day; whichever occurs later; and (b) ending at the end of the last Wednesday before the election day;". 2.2 Insert the following definitions: "'available broadcasting day', in relation to the next election, means any day in the campaign period except a Sunday; 'election day', in relation to an election, means the day on which the election is to be held;". 1992 No. 6 POLITICAL BROADCASTS (NEW SOUTH WALES) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 3 3.
