Commencement 1.1 These Regulations commence on 1 November 1990. 1990 No. 337 NATIONAL HEALTH (PHARMACEUTICAL BENEFITS) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2 2. Amendment 2.1 The National Health (Pharmaceutical Benefits) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations. 1990 No. 337 NATIONAL HEALTH (PHARMACEUTICAL BENEFITS) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 3 3. Regulation 25 (Repeated supplies of pharmaceutical benefits) 3.1 Subregulation 25 (2): Omit the subregulation, substitute: "(2) Subject to subregulation (3), if: (a) a prescription directs that a pharmaceutical benefit is to be supplied more than once; and (b) the pharmaceutical benefit is supplied (whether or not for the first time); the benefit must not be supplied again (whether by the same or a different supplier) on the day on which it was so supplied or on any of the 3 days immediately following that day. "(3) A pharmaceutical benefit may be supplied if the prescription for the benefit: (a) directs the supply of an amount of the benefit that is less than the amount necessary for treatment of the person in respect of whom the prescription was written for 4 days in accordance with the prescription; or (b) the benefit is destroyed, lost or stolen; and the person who supplies the benefit writes on the prescription the words `immediate supply required' and signs his or her name.". - NOTES 1990 No. 337*1* NATIONAL HEALTH (PHARMACEUTICAL BENEFITS) REGULATIONS*2* (AMENDMENT) *1* Notified in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette on 31 October 1990. *2* Statutory Rules 1960 No. 17 as amended to date.
