Repeal


  1. Regulations 18 and 38 of the Naval Financial Regulations are repealed.

Entertaining allowance


  2. Regulation 21 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended by omitting
from the table in sub-regulation (1) ", in respect of which command money is
payable under sub-regulation 18 (1)".

Salary of sailors holding the rank of Leading Seaman or a lower rank


  3. Regulation 31 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended-
  (a)  by omitting from sub-regulation (5) "Part I of"; and
  (b)  by omitting paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (6) and substituting the
following paragraph:
     "(a)  the relativities among employment classifications recommended by
the reports of the Committee of Reference for Defence Force Pay on the
placement of other rank employment categories presented to the Minister on 9
March 1978 and on the adequacy of Defence Force remuneration presented to the
Minister on 4 November 1981;".

Salary of sailors holding the rank of Petty Officer or a higher rank


  4. Regulation 31A of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended by omitting
sub-regulation (13).

Reduction to second class for conduct


  5. Regulation 128 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended by omitting
"a man for a period, the rates at which salary and any allowance payable to
him under regulation 40 are payable to him in respect of the period are rates
equal to five-sixths of the rates at which they" and substituting "a sailor
for a period, the rate at which salary is payable to him in respect of the
period is the rate equal to five-sixths of the rate at which it".

Application


  6. The Naval Financial Regulations as amended by paragraph 3 (a) of this
Interim Determination shall be deemed to have come into operation on 5
November 1981.
