Commencement


  1. These Regulations commence on 1 July 1989.

Principal Regulations


  2. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the National Crime
Authority Regulations.

  3. Regulation 9 of the Principal Regulations is repealed and the following
regulations substituted:
Salary payable to Chairman
  "9. For the purposes of subsection 38 (1) of the Act, the following
remuneration is prescribed for the Chairman, namely, an annual salary equal to
the annual salary payable from time to time to a Judge of the Federal Court.
Allowances payable to Chairman
  "10. For the purposes of subsection 38 (2) of the Act, the following
allowances are prescribed for the Chairman:
  (a)  the travelling allowance payable to a Judge of the Federal Court;
  (b)  an annual expenses of office allowance equal to the annual expenses of
office allowance payable from time to time to a Judge of the Federal Court.
Allowances payable to certain members
  "11. For the purposes of subsection 38 (2) of the Act, the following
allowance is prescribed for a member, other than a member holding an office
created under subsection 7 (8AA) of the Act, namely, an annual displacement
allowance of $30,000.".

Schedule 1


  4. Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from Form
3 "or acting member".
