1989 No. 54 HEALTH INSURANCE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 4

4. Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting items 1, 2
and 3 and substituting the following items:

"1. A witness attending, because of his or her professional, scientific or
other special skill or knowledge, a hearing before a Committee shall be paid
the allowance that the witness would be paid under the scale in the Second
Schedule to the Federal Court Rules, as in force from time to time, if called
before the Federal Court of Australia.
2. A witness, other than a witness referred to in item 1, attending a hearing
before a Committee shall be paid the allowance that the witness would be paid
under the scale in the Second Schedule to the Federal Court Rules, as in force
from time to time, if called before the Federal Court of Australia.
3. A witness attending a hearing before a Committee who is remunerated in his
or her occupation by wages, salary or fees shall, in addition to an allowance
payable to the witness under item 1 or 2, be paid an allowance equal to the
amount of wages, salary or fees lost because of the attendance.".
