FEDERAL COURT RULES 2011 (SLI NO 134 OF 2011) - RULE 34.134
Overlapping applicationsIf a party to an application knows of the existence of another proceeding before the Court that relates to a native title determination that covers (in whole or in part) the same area as that application, the party must as soon as practicable give written notice to the Court, identifying the other application.
Note If the Court receives notice under this rule, the Court will convene a directions hearing in both proceedings together to consider the future conduct of the proceedings.
