1985 No. 64 EXTRADITION (INTERNATIONALLY PROTECTED PERSONS) REGULATIONS - REG 3
Application of Act
3. (1) Notwithstanding any limitations, conditions, exceptions, or
qualifications to which the application of the Act in relation to each foreign
state specified in Part I of the Schedule is subject by reason of sub-section
9 (2) or 11 (2) of the Act, the Act applies in relation to each of those
foreign states subject to the Convention.
(2) Notwithstanding any limitations, conditions, exceptions, or qualifications
to which the application of the Act in relation to each foreign state
specified in Part II of the Schedule is subject by reason of sub-section 11
(2) of the Act, the Act applies in relation to each of those foreign states
subject to-
(a) the Convention; and
(b) the condition that offences against a law of, or of a part of, that
state that are offences of the kind referred to in sub-section 4 (5B)
of the Act are extradition crimes for the purposes of the Act.
(3) The Act applies in relation to each foreign state specified in Part III of
the Schedule subject to-
(a) the Convention; and
(b) the condition that the only offences against a law of, or of a part
of, that state that are extradition crimes for the purposes of the Act
are offences of the kind referred to in sub-section 4 (5B) of the Act.
