1982 No. 58 DEFENCE FORCE (RESERVES) (FINANCIAL) REGULATIONS - REG 2

2. Regulation 12 of the Defence Force (Reserves) (Financial) Regulations is
amended by inserting the following sub-regulation after sub-regulation (6):

"(6A) Subject to sub-regulations (11), (12) and (13), where immediately after
a member is enlisted with, or promoted to, a rank specified in Part II or III
of Schedule 5, the amount payable to him in respect of reserve service
rendered by him on a day is, by virtue of the operation of the Service
Financial Regulations in their application to that member, greater than the
amount that would, but for the operation of those Regulations, be payable to
him in respect of reserve service rendered by him on a day, a period equal to
the period specified in whichever of columns 1, 2 or 3 of that Part, is
applicable to the member, opposite to the amount payable to him in respect of
reserve service rendered on a day shall be deemed to be counted as service by
the member in that rank.".
