Combat-related duties 1996 No. 27 DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION REGULATIONS - REG 1 Citation 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Disability Discrimination Regulations. (NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.) 1996 No. 27 DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION REGULATIONS - REG 2 Interpretation 2. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears: "Act" means the Disability Discrimination Act 1992. 1996 No. 27 DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION REGULATIONS - REG 3 Combat duties 3. For the purposes of subsection 53 (2) of the Act, the following duties are declared to be combat duties, namely, duties which require, or which are likely to require, a person to commit, or participate directly in the commission of, an act of violence in the event of armed conflict. 1996 No. 27 DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION REGULATIONS - REG 4 Combat-related duties 4.
