  1. These Regulations may be cited as the Tobacco Charge (No. 1) Regulations.

  2. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 February 1985.

Repeal of Tobacco (Rate of Charge) Regulations


  3. Statutory Rules 1973 No. 44 are repealed.

Rate of charge


  4. For the purposes of section 5 of the Tobacco Charge Act (No. 1) 1955, the
rate of charge is 3.5 cents per kilogram of tobacco leaf.
