1981 No. 44 PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2

Transitional
2. (1) An officer or employee-

   (a)  who immediately before, and on, the commencement of these Regulations
        was stationed at, and resided in, a place within a radius of 80
        kilometres from the post office at Woomera;

   (b)  who was entitled to be paid an allowance at the rate referred to in
        paragraph 103A (1) (a) of the Public Service Regulations as in force
        immediately before the commencement of these Regulations; and

   (c)  who is entitled, under sub-regulation 103A (1) of the Public Service
        Regulations as in force from time to time, to be paid an allowance at
        a rate that is less than the rate of $775 a year, is entitled to be
        paid an allowance at a rate equal to the difference between the 2
        rates referred to in paragraph (c) until-

   (d)  he first ceases to be entitled to be paid an allowance under that
        sub-regulation as so in force; or

   (e)  he first becomes entitled, under that sub-regulation as so in force,
        to be paid an allowance at a rate that exceeds $775 a year, whichever
        first occurs.

(2) An officer or employee-

   (a)  who immediately before, and on, the commencement of these Regulations
        was stationed at, or was directed to perform duty for more than 7 days
        at and resided in, an established camp in the Woomera Rocket Range
        Area;

   (b)  who was entitled to be paid an allowance at the rate referred to in
        paragraph 103A (3) (a) of the Public Service Regulations as in force
        immediately before the commencement of these Regulations; and

   (c)  who is entitled, under sub-regulation 103A (2) of the Public Service
        Regulations as in force from time to time, to be paid an allowance at
        a rate that is less than the rate of $30 a week, is entitled to be
        paid an allowance at a rate equal to the difference between the 2
        rates referred to in paragraph (c) until-

   (d)  he first ceases to be entitled to be paid an allowance under that
        sub-regulation as so in force; or

   (e)  he first becomes entitled, under that sub-regulation as so in force,
        to be paid an allowance at a rate that exceeds $30 a week, whichever
        first occurs.
