1980 No. 18 PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 1
After regulation 99 of the Public Service Regulations, the following
regulation is inserted: Translator's allowance
"99A. Where a Chief Officer has directed an officer or employee to perform, as
required and in addition to his other duties, duties that consist of-
(a) translating speech or written material from one language to another;
or
(b) communicating information to a handicapped person by means of signs
and translating signs made by a handicapped person for the purpose of
achieving communication between that person and another person or
other persons, the officer or employee shall, while the direction
remains in force, be paid an allowance at the rate of $250 per
annum.".
