Principal Regulations


  1. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the National Crime
Authority Regulations.

Repeal of regulation 4


  2. Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is repealed.

Service of summons to appear before Authority


  3. Regulation 7 of the Principal Regulations is amended-
  (a)  by omitting from sub-paragraph (1) (a) (ii) "apparently" (wherever
occurring) and substituting ", or is reasonably believed to be,";
  (b)  by omitting from sub-paragraph (1) (a) (iii) "member or an acting
member" and "member or acting member" (wherever occurring) and substituting in
each case "Judge";
  (c) by omitting from sub-paragraph (1) (b) (i) "apparently" (first
occurring) and "apparently" (last occurring) and substituting "who is, or is
reasonably believed to be," and "is, or is reasonably believed to be,"
respectively;
  (d)  by omitting from sub-regulation (2) "member or an acting member" and
"member or acting member" and substituting in each case "Judge";
  (e) by omitting from sub-regulation (2) "a solicitor employed by the
Authority" and substituting "a member or an acting member"; and
  (f) by adding at the end the following sub-regulation:
     "(3) In this regulation, "Judge" means-
     (a)  a Judge of the Federal Court; or
     (b)  a Judge of a court of a State or Territory.".

Schedule 1


  4. Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting Form 2.
