MIGRATION AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 2007 (NO. 11) (SLI NO 275 OF 2007)

- Description:These Regulations amend the Migration Regulations 1994 to make provisions in relation to on-hire firms seeking approval as standard business sponsors and seeking nominations of business activities for grant of a Subclass 457 visas. The amendments provide that after 1 October 2007, on-hire firms will not be able to be approved as a standard business sponsor unless the sponsored person will work in the on-hire firm's own business and they will not have nominations of business activities approved unless the nomination relates to a position in the firm's own business.
