HEALTH INSURANCE (DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SERVICES TABLE) AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 2009 (NO. 2) (SLI NO 137 OF 2009)

- Description:These Regulations amend the Health Insurance (Diagnostic Imaging Services Table) Regulations 2008 to enable Medicare benfits to be paid for MRI services conducted using specified equipment at Cairns Base Hospital and Rockhampton Hospital in Queensland and inserts a new item into the table to allow Medicare benefits for MRI services used for the initial staging of rectal cancer.
