Schedule 3D (Tori pole apparatus-construction and mounting) 1996 No. 67 FISHERIES MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 1 1. Amendment 1.1 The Fisheries Management Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations. (Note: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.) 1996 No. 67 FISHERIES MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2 2. Regulation 19A (Regulation of longline fishing-section 14 of the Act) 2.1 Omit the regulation, substitute: Regulation of longline fishing-section 14 of the Act "19A. A person must not set a pelagic, or drifting, longline from: (a) an Australian boat; or (b) a foreign boat in the AFZ; south of the parallel of Latitude 30 degrees South unless there is attached to the boat, in relation to each point at which hooks, connected directly or indirectly to the longline, enter the water: (c) a Tori Pole apparatus, in accordance with Schedule 3D; or (d) if the person is the holder of a scientific permit under section 33 of the Act that permits the use, in that area, of another apparatus instead of a Tori Pole apparatus-an apparatus that complies with the permit. Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.". 1996 No. 67 FISHERIES MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 3 3.
