1990 No. 29 DESIGNS REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2

2. Regulation 4 of the Designs Regulations is amended:

   (a)  by omitting subregulation (1) and substituting the following
        subregulation:

"(1) The fee specified in column 3 of an item in Schedule 2 is prescribed for:

   (a)  the lodging of the document; or

   (b)  the doing of the act by the Registrar or a person other than the
        Registrar;referred to in column 2 of that item.";

   (b)  by adding at the end the following subregulation: "(3) For the
        purposes of subsection 42 (4) of the Act, the Registrar is to notify
        the person or his or her agent in writing within 7 days after the
        lodging of the document, or the doing of the act, for which the fee is
        payable.".
