Service of a member in a rank 1983 No. 54 DEFENCE FORCE (RESERVES) (FINANCIAL) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 1 Service of a member in a rank The Defence Force (Reserves) (Financial) Regulations are amended- (a) by omitting from sub-regulation 12 (7) "renders" and substituting "was, before he became a member to whom these Regulations apply, a member to whom the Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations applied and rendered"; and (b) by omitting sub-regulation 12 (8) and substituting the following sub-regulation: "(8) Where a person before he became a member to whom these Regulations apply rendered a period of continuous full-time service in a part of the forces of a country declared to be a country within the Commonwealth of Nations for the purposes of the Defence (Visiting Forces) Act 1963-1973, being the part of those forces- (a) in the case of a member of the Navy-responsible for the naval defence of that country; (b) in the case of a member of the Army-responsible for the military defence of that country; and (c) in the case of a member of the Air Force-responsible for the air defence of that country, sub-regulation (7) shall apply to him as if, for that period- (d) he had been a member of the Defence Force to whom the Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations applied; and (e) he had held a rank or ranks that corresponds with the rank or ranks held by him while rendering that period of service.". - NOTES 1983 No. 54*1* DEFENCE FORCE (RESERVES) (FINANCIAL) REGULATIONS*2* (AMENDMENT) *1* Notified in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette on 3 May 1983. *2* Statutory Rules 1976 No. 16 as amended by 1976 Nos. 41, 75, 82, 137, 198 and 264; 1977 Nos. 81, 97, 160, 174 and 280; 1978 Nos. 5, 51, 117 and 240; 1979 Nos. 5, 22, 83 and 162; 1980 Nos. 10, 24, 44, 83, 94, 154, 165, 218, 230 and 350; 1981 Nos. 11, 20, 94, 114, 121, 237, 256, 272 and 337; 1982 Nos. 52, 57, 58, 165, 186, 263, 273, 279 and 306.
