Amendment 1.1 The Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations. Schedule 2 (Goods the importation of which is prohibited unless the permission in writing of the Minister or an authorised person has been granted) 3.1 Item 30AA: Omit the item. 1992 No. 49 CUSTOMS (PROHIBITED IMPORTS) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 4 4. Schedule 3 (Goods the importation of which is prohibited unless specified conditions, restrictions or requirements are complied with) 4.1 Part 1: After item 5, insert: "6. Silencers for use with firearms The importer must produce to a Collector, at or before importation, a certificate that: (a) states that the silencers are for use for official purposes; and (b) is signed by the Minister for Justice and Consumer Affairs or a Minister responsible for police in a State or Territory. 7. Detachable magazines, having a capacity of more than 5 rounds, for: (a) self-loading centre-fire rifles; or (b) self-loading centre-fire carbines; or (c) self-loading or pump-action shotguns; whether attached to firearms or not.
