- REG 1. Amendment 

1.1The Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations are amended
as set out in these Regulations.

CUSTOMS (PROHIBITED EXPORTS) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT)  1991 No. 24
- REG 2. Regulation 13CA (Exportation of goods to Iraq and Kuwait
etc.)

2.1Subregulation 13CA (1):
Add at the end:
"`sanctions resolutions' means the following United Nations Security
Council Resolutions:
    (a)    No. 661 (1990) adopted on 6 August 1990;
    (b)    No. 666 (1990) adopted on 13 September 1990.".
2.2Subregulation 13CA (2):
Omit the subregulation, substitute:
    "(2)    The exportation from Australia:
    (a)    to Iraq or Kuwait of goods of any description; or
    (b)    to any country of goods of Iraqi or Kuwaiti origin;
is prohibited unless the permission in writing of the Minister or an authorised
person is produced to a Collector.
    "(2A)    Permission for the purposes of subregulation (2) must not be given if
the exportation would be inconsistent with the sanctions resolutions.
    "(2B)    The exportation from Australia to any country other than Iraq or Kuwait
of goods of any description the ultimate intended destination of which is Iraq
or Kuwait is prohibited if the exportation would be inconsistent with the
sanctions resolutions.".

under the
Customs Act 1901.
