General powers of Registrar 1987 No. 45 CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 1 Principal Regulations 1. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Conciliation and Arbitration Regulations. 1987 No. 45 CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2 General powers of Registrar 2. Regulation 141 of the Principal Regulations is amended: (a) by omitting paragraph (1) (a) and substituting the following paragraphs: "(a) to require a person, by summons served on the person, to appear before the Registrar: (i) to give evidence; and (ii) to produce such books, documents or things as are referred to in the summons for inspection by the Registrar or by such party as the Registrar determines; (ab) to take evidence on oath;"; (b) by inserting after subregulation (1) the following subregulation: "(1A) A person shall not, without reasonable excuse, refuse or fail to comply with a summons served on him or her for the purposes of paragraph (1) (a).
