Persons competent to be auditors 1984 No. 20 CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 1 Principal Regulations 1. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Conciliation and Arbitration Regulations. 1984 No. 20 CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2 Request for conduct of elections under section 170 of the Act 2. Regulation 139 of the Principal Regulations is amended- (a) by omitting from sub-regulation (3) "Industrial Registrar" and substituting "Registrar"; and (b) by inserting after sub-regulation (3) the following sub-regulations: "(3A) Where a request under sub-section 170 (1) of the Act is made, in accordance with sub-section 170 (2) (b) of the Act, by a number of the members of an organization or of a branch of an organization, the request- (a) shall set out in respect of each of those members- (i) his name; (ii) the address of his usual place of residence; and (iii) where the address referred to in sub-paragraph (ii) is different from the postal address of the member shown in the register of the members of the organization-that postal address; (b) shall be signed by each of those members- (i) in the presence of a person; and (ii) in such a manner that the signature of the member shall appear next to his name and address; and (c) shall be accompanied by the statutory declaration or statutory declarations made in accordance with sub-regulation (3B) by the person or persons in whose presence the request was signed. "(3B) A statutory declaration referred to in paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (3A) made for the purposes of a request referred to in that sub-regulation shall state, in respect of each person who signed the request in the presence of the declarant, that- (a) the person signed the request in the presence of the declarant; (b) the person is known to the declarant under the name specified in the request next to the signature of the person; (c) to the best of the declarant's knowledge and belief, the person resides at the address specified in the request as being the person's usual place of residence; and (d) to the best of the declarant's knowledge and belief, the person is a member of the organization in relation to which the request is made.". 1984 No. 20 CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 3 Where election officially conducted no unauthorized action to be taken 3. Regulation 140 of the Principal Regulations is amended- (a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) "Industrial Registrar" and substituting "Registrar"; and (b) by omitting from sub-regulation (2) "Industrial Registrar" and substituting "Registrar". 1984 No. 20 CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 4 Persons competent to be auditors 4.
