Schedule


  The Schedule to the Banks (Shareholdings) Regulations is amended by
inserting after item 3 the following item:
"3A Macquarie Bank Limited. . . .  Hill Samuel and Co. BV, being the
                                   corporation
                                   formed or incorporated under that name in
                                   the Netherlands
                                   Hill Samuel and Co. Limited, being the
                                   corporation formed or incorporated under
                                   that name in the United Kingdom
                                   Hill Samuel Group Plc, being the
corporation
                                   formed or incorporated under that name in
                                   the United Kingdom
                                   Hill Samuel Holdings (Australia) Pty
Limited
                                   Hill Samuel International Limited, being
the
                                   corporation formed or incorporated under
                                   that name in the United Kingdom
                                   Hill Samuel Overseas Holdings Limited,
being
                                   the corporation formed or incorporated
                                   under that name in the United Kingdom".
