3. (1) The Schedule to the Air Navigation Regulations is amended-

   (a)  by omitting item 1;

   (b)  by omitting from item 2-

"Grant (whether by way of issue or renewal)"
and substituting-
      "Issue";


   (c)  by omitting items 3 and 4;

   (d)  by omitting items 7 to 14 (inclusive) and substituting the following
        items:

             "7      Issue of an aircraft maintenance engineer

             "8     Examination for the purpose of qualifying
for the issue of a commercial pilot

   (a)  in the subject known as Principles
