Further amendments SCHEDULE 1988 No. 83 AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 1 Principal Regulations 1. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Australian Federal Police Regulations. 1988 No. 83 AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2 Interpretation 2. Regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations is amended: (a) by omitting the definitions of "Board", "Deputy President" and "President"; and (b) by inserting the following definitions: " 'Agency' means the Merit Protection and Review Agency established by the Merit Protection Act as modified in its application to and in relation to members by regulations made under section 85 of that Act; 'Convenor' has the same meaning as in subsection 10 (1) of the Merit Protection Act; 'Director' means the Director of the Agency; 'Merit Protection Act' means the Merit Protection (Australian Government Employees) Act 1984; 'Review Committee' means: (a) a Review Committee within the meaning of the Act; or (b) a Promotion Appeal Committee established in accordance with Subdivision B of Division 2 of Part II of the Merit Protection Act, being that Subdivision as modified in its application to and in relation to members by regulations made under section 85 of that Act;". 1988 No. 83 AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 3 Repeal of Division 1 of Part IIA 3. Division 1 of Part IIA of the Principal Regulations is repealed. 1988 No. 83 AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 4 Hearings by Review Committee 4. Regulation 14N of the Principal Regulations is amended: (a) by omitting subregulation (1); (b) by omitting from subregulation (6) "President or the Deputy President" and substituting "Convenor"; (c) by omitting from subregulation (7) "President or the Deputy President" and substituting "Convenor"; and (d) by omitting subregulation (9). 1988 No. 83 AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 5 Repeal of regulation 14S 5. Regulation 26 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from subparagraph 26 (2) (c) (i) "21 days" and substituting "14 days". 1988 No. 83 AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 10 Notification of appeal 10. Regulation 27 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "Secretary to the Board" and substituting "Agency". 1988 No. 83 AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 11 Powers of Review Committee 11. Regulation 31 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting subparagraph (b) (iii). 1988 No. 83 AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 12 Determination of appeal 12. Regulation 32 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "Board" (wherever occurring) and substituting "Review Committee". 1988 No. 83 AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 13 Rules of association 13. Regulation 38 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (b) "Promotion Appeals Board" and substituting "Review Committees". 1988 No. 83 AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 14 Further amendments 14. The Principal Regulations are amended as set out in the Schedule to these Regulations. 1988 No. 83 AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - SCHEDULE SCHEDULE Regulation 14 FURTHER AMENDMENTS 1. The following provisions of the Principal Regulations are amended by omitting "Board" (wherever occurring, except where occurring in the expression "Secretary to the Board") and substituting "Review Committee": Regulations 14K, 14L and 14M, subregulations 14N (2), (3), (5), (6), (7) and (8), 14P (1) and (3), 14Q (1), (2) and (3), regulations 14R and 25C, subregulations 26 (1) and (2), regulations 27 and 31, paragraph 34A (4) (c), subparagraph 34C (b) (i), regulation 34D, subregulations 34E (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5), paragraph 34F (b) and regulation 34G. 2. The following provisions of the Principal Regulations are amended by omitting "Secretary to the Board" (wherever occurring) and substituting "Agency": Subregulations 14N (3) and (4), regulation 25C, paragraph 26 (2) (c), subregulation 34A (4), regulations 34B, 34C and 34D, subregulations 34E (2), (3), (4) and (5) and regulation 34F. 3.
