Repeal the section. 2 After section 170WK Insert: 170WKA Complementary State
laws

(1) A complementary State law may confer functions and powers on the
Commission, the Employment Advocate or an authorised officer.

(2) In this section: AWA provisions means:

   (a)  Part IVA and this Part; and

   (b)  the other provisions of this Act so far as they relate to Part IVA or
        this Part. complementary State law means a law of a State that applies
        the AWA provisions as a law of the State, with:

   (a)  the modifications required by the regulations; and

   (b)  any other modifications permitted by the regulations. modifications
        includes additions, omissions and substitutions.
