WORKPLACE RELATIONS AND OTHER LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1996 No. 77 of 1996 - SECT 2

(1) Subject to this section, this Act commences on the day on which it
receives the Royal Assent.

(2) Subject to subsection (3), the items of the Schedules to this Act (other
than item 1 of Schedule 1 and the items of Schedule 3) commence on a day or
days to be fixed by Proclamation.

(3) If an item of a Schedule to this Act does not commence under subsection
(2) within the period of 6 months beginning on the day on which this Act
receives the Royal Assent, it is repealed on the first day after the end of
that period.

(4) The items of Schedule 3 are taken to have commenced immediately after the
Workplace Relations and Other Legislation Amendment Act 1996 received the
Royal Assent.
