WILDLIFE PROTECTION (REGULATION OF EXPORTS AND IMPORTS) ACT 1982 No. 149 of 1982 - SECT 82

82. (1) The Customs (Endangered Species) Regulations made under the Customs 
Act 1901 are repealed.

(2) Notwithstanding the repeal by sub-section (1) of the regulations referred
to in that sub-section, where an import permit, an export permit or a
re-export certificate granted under those regulations was in force immediately
before the commencement of this Act-

   (a)  that permit or certificate shall, subject to those regulations,
        continue in force; and

   (b)  those regulations shall continue to apply in relation to that permit
        or certificate,
as if those regulations had not been repealed.

(3) While an import permit, an export permit or a re-export certificate
granted under the regulations referred to in sub-section (1) in relation to a
specimen continues in force by virtue of sub-section (2), this Act shall not
be taken to prohibit the import, export or re-export, as the case requires, of
the specimen in accordance with those regulations.
