WITNESS PROTECTION ACT 1994 No. 124 of 1994 - SECT 29

29.(1) An authority that, immediately before the commencement of this Act, was
a prescribed authority for the purposes of subsection 8(2A) of the Australian
Federal Police Act 1979 is taken to be declared by the Minister to
be an approved authority for the purposes of the definition of "approved
authority" in section 3 of this Act.

(2) Persons who were, immediately before the commencement of this Act,
included in the program operated by the Australian Federal Police and known as
the witness protection program become participants on that commencement.
