VETERANS' AFFAIRS LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1992 No. 228 of 1992 - SECT 5

5. Section 18 of the Principal Act is amended:
(a) by inserting in paragraph (2)(e) ", modify or repair" after "enlarge";
(b) by inserting in paragraph (2)(j) ", modify or repair" after "enlarge";

   (c)  by omitting paragraph (2)(k) and substituting the following paragraph:

"(k) to discharge any debt owed by the person in relation to the person's
retirement village accommodation.";

   (d)  by omitting paragraph (3)(a) and substituting the following paragraph:

"(a) to enlarge, modify or repair:

        (i)    a dwelling-house on a holding owned by the person; or

        (ii)   a person's retirement village accommodation; or";

   (e)  by omitting paragraphs (3)(c) and (d);

   (f)  by omitting paragraph (3)(f) and substituting the following paragraph:

"(f) to discharge any debt owed by the person in relation to the person's
retirement village accommodation.";

   (g)  by omitting subsections (4), (4A), (5), (5A), (5AA), (5AB), (5B),
        (5C), (5D) and (5E).
