VETERANS' AFFAIRS LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1987 No. 78 of 1987 - SECT 7

7. Section 18 of the Principal Act is amended by adding at the end the
following subsection:

"(2) Where the Board, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal or a court makes a
decision remitting to the Commission a matter, being:

   (a)  the assessment of the rate, or increased rate, at which a pension is
        to be payable under this Part; or

   (b)  the fixing of the date as from which a decision of the Board, the
        Administrative Appeals Tribunal or the court is to operate; it is the
        duty of the Commission to determine that matter having regard to the
        provisions of this Act and the reasons of the Board, the
        Administrative Appeals Tribunal or the court, as the case may be, for
        that decision.".
