TRADE UNION TRAINING AUTHORITY ACT 1975 No. 50 of 1975 - SECT 29

Disclosure of interests in contracts.
29. (1) A member of a council who is directly or indirectly interested in a
contract made or proposed to be made by the Authority, otherwise than as a
member, and in common with other members, of an incorporated company which
consists of not less than 25 persons and of which he is not a director, shall,
as soon as possible after the relevant facts have come to his knowledge,
disclose the nature of his interests to the council.

(2) A deputy member of a council who is present at a meeting of the council at
which there is under consideration a matter relating to a contract made or
proposed to be made by the Authority, being a contract in which the deputy
member is directly or indirectly interested otherwise than as a member, and in
common with other members, of an incorporated company which consists of not
less than 25 persons and of which he is not a director, shall, as soon as
possible after the relevant facts have come to his knowledge, disclose the
nature of his interest to the council.

(3) A disclosure under sub-section (1) or (2) shall be recorded in the minutes
of the council and the member or deputy member-

   (a)  shall not take part after the disclosure in any deliberation or
        decision of the council with respect to the contract; and

   (b)  shall be disregarded for the purposes of constituting a quorum of the
        council for any such deliberation or decision.
