TORRES STRAIT FISHERIES ACT 1984 NO. 23 OF 1984 - SECT. 39.
Protected Zone Joint Authority to seek views of traditional inhabitants
39. The Protected Zone Joint Authority shall, where it considers it
appropriate to do so, seek the views of members of the Joint Advisory Council
established under Article 19 of the Torres Strait Treaty who are traditional
inhabitants and Australian citizens on any matter relating to a Protected Zone
Joint Authority fishery where that matter may affect the interests of
traditional inhabitants who are Australian citizens.
