TRADE PRACTICES AMENDMENT ACT 1977 No. 81 of 1977 - SECT 16

16. Section 17 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting sub-section (2) and substituting the following
        sub-section:-

''(2) Where an interest is so disclosed to the Chairman and-

   (a)  in case of an interest in a business-the person carrying on the
        business; or

   (b)  in the case of an interest in a body corporate-that body corporate,

is concerned in a matter before the Commission, being a matter in the
determination of which the member who has the interest is or will be
participating, the Chairman shall cause the interest to be disclosed to the
public.''; and

   (b)  by adding at the end thereof the following sub-section:-
''(4) In this section, 'member of the Commission' includes an associate member
of the Commission.''.
