TRADE PRACTICES ACT 1974 No. 51, 1974 - SECT 21

21. At a public hearing by the Commission-

   (a)  the proceedings shall be conducted with as little formality and
        technicality, and with as much expedition, as the requirements of this
        Act and a proper consideration of the matters before the Commission
        permit;

   (b)  the Commission is not bound by the rules of evidence; and

   (c)  the Commission may, upon such conditions as it thinks fit, permit a
        person to intervene in the proceedings.
